Why Join:
Research shows that when parents are actively involved in their children’s education, students achieve more—they earn higher grades and test scores, attend school more regularly, and complete homework more consistently. As part of a statewide and national PTA network, we amplify that impact beyond our own school. Together, we have a voice in front of state legislators and members of Congress, influencing policies and laws that shape the future for all children.
What Do We Do:
Keep families informed about school news, Portland Public Schools updates, and key education issues at the state and national levels.
Connect parents and guardians with meaningful volunteer opportunities that support our students and school community.
Host beloved school-wide events like Run for the Cyclones and Harvest Fest that bring our community together.
Celebrate and support our teachers and staff through appreciation events, special gifts, and ongoing recognition.
Provide teacher grants to fund classroom projects, purchase needed supplies, and make enriching field trips possible.

Join today—it’s easy, gives you a vote at membership meetings, and includes our monthly e-newsletter. Membership is open to everyone, with a sliding scale fee from $0–$25 to keep it accessible. As a member of the Oregon PTA, we are required to pay $11.50 per member to them. The rest of your contribution goes toward supporting the activities above.
